This study focuses on an integrated energy system that involves wind energy, photovoltaic energy, hydrogen energy and energy storage in the sustainable port. The multiple energy sources are used to generate electricity to support container loading and unloading in vessels.
Following a successful trial phase, plans are in place to establish a regional logistics distribution hub at the COSCO Shipping Chancay Peru Terminal. The port’s two newly launched direct container shipping routes linking Shanghai Port and Chancay Port have reduced transit times for goods from Peru to China to just 23 days.
Chancay Port has integrated intelligent loading and unloading equipment, with pure electric container trucks alone contributing to a decrease in energy consumption of over 25%. Following a successful trial operation phase, plans are underway to establish a regional logistics distribution hub at the COSCO Shipping Chancay Peru Terminal.
